I'm not sure how much explanation this actually needs. My son is twelve. (Un)Fortunately, he thinks I come from Planet Moan, so what I actually say goes in one ear and out the other. And he's a sportsman, not an academic. He believes in efficient use of energy and short bursts of explosive power. So... Why write a paragraph when a bullet point will do? Why write a sentence when mime is a reasonably successful method of communication? Why do homework when... er... full stop?!
